News Flash! - 2008 Expo Shatters Attendance Figures

2008 was the breakout year we have been hoping for since the event began in 2004. Our goal since year one has been 1,000 attendees per day, and we smashed though that barrier this year. 2,376 people attended the 2008 Expo - 911 greater than the previous high attendance of 1,465 in 2006 and 1,146 higher than last year's attendance of 1,230.

While this seems like a huge jump from one year to the next, it more than likely reflects a normal continuation of the curve established in years 1 through 3   This trend was interrupted last year due to the gorgeous weather, the abundance of competing events and the attendance fee that we tried and decided against this year. Without these factors, attendance would have likely been in the 1,700 to 2,000 range, making this year's 2,376 a more logical step forward.

While there is much more to the GreenExpo than attendance, it is certainly an indication of the awareness and interest in green issues, products and lifestyles, so we welcome the increase and are happy to reset our sights on 3,000 attendees for 2009!

See you at the 2009 Expo!
